The simulation is based on Field II, which is a free program that utilizes the spatial impulse response method, and has been validated by many researchers for accuracy. I tried to pass ultrasound through an LDPE sheet into the human body.This is a part of my research. I used a coupling gel between LDPE and transducer and LDPE and human body. But all the ultrasound was reflected from the sheet itself,nothing was going into the body. Can anyone clarify why its happening.

What are the acoustic properties of LDPE? A difference of rho*c as the beam travels from water to LDPE will cause reflection. Coupling with water on both sides will not help.
